Metal Self Drilling Countersunk Winged Screws

Self Drilling Screw Phillips Flat Head #4 Point with Wings Low Carbon Steel Ruspert commonly used for attaching wood to heavy gauge steel (to 0.25 inch).

No predrilling. The hardened point provides penetration of steel substrates.

Wings ream hole in wood, then detach when they reach steel. Strong 6 Nibs for self embedding into timber.

The six ribs design will ream through light cement sheeting, chipboard and timber, allowing the head to sit below the surface, facilitating easy filling.

 

It is recommended to use self-drilling screws with wings when fastening wood over 12 mm thick to metal.

Self-drilling flat-head screw with wings is available in type low carbon steel. Wings above drill point provide clearance hole in work piece so it won’t climb up the shank; wings break off as point engages the steel substrate.

Carbon steel is hardened through heat treatment, allowing it to drill through metal.
